Behavioral Science of New York provides direct services to veterans and their dependents by a veteran owned counseling service. All counseling services are performed by New York State licensed certified mental health counselors.
Veterans: Individual skills acquired in the military can be matched, transferred, and or modified for civilian employment.
General Population: All can benefit from personal and vocational counseling services which are provided individually and in groups.
Vocational services for all entails:
Assessment of job readiness, interests, abilities and skills
Individualized behavioral job coaching and counseling
Placement assistance and counseling
Individual personnel counseling to address specific vocational needs.
Tutoring and articulation services: for veterans who are eligible for the GI bill.
Individual Specialized vocational services for:
Physically and mentally challenged individuals
Veterans who have experience difficulty adjusting to civilian life
Lifestyle counseling: (for the general and veteran population)
At risk behavior concerns that impact both on quality life issues which impedes vocational success.
